FC3S Upper Engine Torque Brace

$85.00 / Sold Out

This torque brace kit connects the transmission bell housing to the chassis, and helps absorb torque that would otherwise twist the 13B's rear iron against the engine mounts on the center iron. This helps remedy the achilles heel of these older engines, which is cracking of the rear iron near the oil filter pedestal.

It greatly reduces drivetrain slop, without affecting noise and vibration as much as solid or polyurethane engine mounts would. In addition, it works great for those who drift their FC's as it improves the effectiveness of clutch kicks and throttle modulation.

Installation is straightforward, and included is all of the necessary hardware. All hardware is silver-zinc coated to prevent rust, and we also include Flanged/High-Quality replacement bell-housing bolts and nuts.

The heims are made out of tough chromoly steel, which is much stronger than the carbon steel heims/rod-ends that most manufacturers end up using. The brace is adjustable and requires minimal tension [~1mm of a turn from loose] to be effective.

We have had great success with this brace on our 400HP drift car, and combined with stiffer/solid transmission mounts it makes for a great combo. We run OEM engine mounts and the drivetrain feels as if it was running on solid engine mounts.

NOTE: This may not be compatible with Charcoal Canister/Sub-Zero-Start/Cruise-Control Systems and OEM Engine Harness grommet may need clearancing as well. If you are running a NA transmission please contact us, if there are any questions please refer to the pictures or email us.
